DIY Lavender or Chamomile Hand Balm Kit

Handmade, Nourishing, and Relaxing

For these instructions we are using Lavender, but the instructions are the same for the Chamomile Kit.

Thank you for choosing our Lavender Hand Balm Kit! This simple, all-natural recipe will leave your hands soft and moisturized, with the soothing scent of lavender. Follow these easy steps to create your own luxurious hand balm.

What’s Included in Your Kit:

Beeswax Pellets (in a small metal tin — reuse for the final balm!)

Dried Lavender (in a small metal tin — reuse for the final balm!)

Grapeseed Oil (in a glass jar)

Cotton Straining Bag

Small Wooden Spoon/Spatula (for stirring and mixing)

What You’ll Need:

A small metal or heat-safe bowl

A small pot (for a double boiler method)

Step 1: Infuse Your Lavender Oil

1. Open the tin of dried lavender and pour it into the grapeseed oil jar.

2. Seal the jar and place it in a dark, cool area (like a cabinet).

3. Allow the lavender to infuse for 5–6 weeks for the best results.

• If you’re short on time, you can gently heat the oil in a double boiler for 1-2 hours to speed up infusion.

Step 2: Strain the Oil

1. After the infusion period, shake the jar gently to mix.

2. Place the cotton straining bag over a small metal bowl.

3. Pour the oil through the bag, allowing it to catch the lavender pieces.

4. Squeeze the bag gently to extract as much oil as possible.

Step 3: Melt the Beeswax (Double Boiler Method)

1. Fill a small pot with 1-2 inches of water and place it on the stove over low heat.

2. Set your metal bowl (with the infused oil) on top of the pot. Make sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water.

3. Slowly add the beeswax pellets to the oil, stirring with the included wooden spoon/spatula.

4. Continue heating and stirring until the wax is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.

Step 4: Pour & Cool

1. Carefully remove the bowl from the heat and let it cool slightly—just until safe to handle.

2. Pour the warm mixture back into the empty metal tins that originally held the beeswax and lavender.

3. Let the balm cool completely at room temperature, or place the tins in the fridge for faster cooling.

Step 5: Enjoy Your Hand Balm!

• Apply to dry, rough hands before bedtime for deep hydration.

• The lavender scent promotes relaxation, making it perfect for unwinding after a long day.

Pro Tips:

Want a softer balm? Use a little less beeswax.

Want a firmer balm? Add a little extra beeswax.

Make it extra special! Add a few drops of essential oil (like more lavender or chamomile) right before pouring into the tins.

Sustainability Note: 🌿♻️

Your kit is designed to be zero waste! The metal tins are reusable, the wooden spoon/spatula is biodegradable, and the cotton straining bag can be washed and used again.

We hope you love making and using your hand balm! 💜
